Bright and bubbly
Since last summer, i have moved out of my parents house and into my own little abode. So...you know what that means! Remodeling pics! Unfortunately because I'm new at this business I forgot to take before pictures... But hopefully the bright fun colors will suffice!
For this I first painted a light white prime base topping with a yellow satin finish.
Now I loved this little lamp at first glance...and the $3.00 price didn't hurt either...:) And after adding come bright and fun fabric to the shade I think it looks ahhdorable!
So what do you think? please leave comments or questions!

Summer is finally here!
Well my grades have been posted and I'm officially finished with classes. I'm so grateful to be out and done. I have a TON of things I need to post including new wreaths and project ideas!
I guess to begin... I've been wanting to make a wreath for my mom's classroom annnnnd I found the cutest wreath idea at Hobby Lobby, this will be the perfect thing to hang above her desk. Lets see... I used a Styrofoam wreath, wrapped in bright school bus yellow fabric. I then continued to hot glue crayons around the side of the wreath. After, I just used simple glitter and Elmer's glue to create her name and added a red ribbon to top it all off. What do you think>?
That same day... I came across the paper mache letters and decided to make something for my grandma from all the grandkids. So this is what I came up with... She proudly displays it on her front entry table. :)
For this project all I did was print off pictures and Mod Podge them onto the letter. I then continued to paint the back, inside, and around to give a more finished look. After I sprayed it with a clear coat finish. Overall I think it turned out rather nice!
Please feel welcome to leave comments or helpful notes!

Summer Blues
Well, things have been pretty crazy around my place recently with school starting back up... But needless to say, I have not forgotten about The Trendy Trunk. As well, I have more ahhdorable projects to share...
My friend Christen asked me a long time ago to redo a lamp for her dorm room that would match everything else she already has. So I began to yard sale and found the cutest lamp ever! And after a bit of tlc and a couple dozen hot glue gun burns later, I have the almost finished product.
I have yet to add some burlap flowers with a button on the shade, but besides that, what do you think? I sprayed the brown paint. After I began working on the lampshade by gluing the turquoise fabric on and scrunching it up as I made my way around. Then, after that I added the ribbon and by the time i finished that the paint was dry. So, I pulled out the paint bucket and added the dots to tie in the two tones. I'm sure she'll love it!
My next project I finally finished I am going to have to give credit to Under the Table and Dreaming where I originally saw this post. I just love decorative balls and fell in love with how cute these were! So, I made my own...
Don't they all just look darling?
And, yes... you all guessed it. I made a rag wreath! there were just way too many posts about them and how cute they all were! I couldn't resist.
Now that I've posted all of my darling crafts, I have news to share! I have been asked to teach a crafting class through the art center here in town! I am so excited! And cannot wait to get started on all of the different projects! So, hopefully I should be able to come up with really crazy wonderful creations to share with all of you! Until next time...

As I promised, I had to upload pictures of my coffee filter wreath! I hope it pleases the eye... I am rather fond of it myself! It matches my mint green bathroom walls perfectly!
I am currently in Oklahoma City, OK and I have had the time of my life! I'm visiting downtown at the Renaissance Hotel. Annnnd, I just happened to check in during an Art Walk in Bricktown! Say no more! I quickly loaded up and started walking... I found some of the most inspirational pieces! I couldn't take pictures to delight you all but hopefully I will be able to do them myself.
My darling wreath!
Here is a close up image of the paint color I chose...
And another. :)
This next picture is from my 3.00 yardsale finds! Which I am axiously waiting to begin... The eggs I hope to paper-mache with extra book pages from my wreath!
I have a few other recent crafts I've started that I should be able to post in the next few days... Until then, have a darling week and leave me some words of inspiration if you please!

Well, I think it's time I've started to post... I've only had this thing for about a month. I've started this blog hopefully to keep me motivated to do all of these crazy wonderful projects I've started. Being an art major has its perks and its downfalls at the same time... Though I love everything artsy and trying new things constantly, with 3 hour classes and a busy work schedule it's hard to make time for my personal projects. After adding what seems like a baaahhhzillion other inspirational artists I've finally gotten that strive I've been searching for. So to begin, I started small with a few wreaths, decorative balls, and ofcourse I had to start yard-saling...
I know this is older... but I just love the idea! Book Page Wreath!
Finished project...Suggestions for bow colors?
Great yard sale finds that I should show the after result in later posts!
Annnnd next,
My Coffee Filter Wreath, which I should add pictures tomorrow morning!
Please comment! Any helpful comments I will be grateful for!
